About Me
The Short Version
Long ago, in the ancient days of 1987, a man-child was born in the decaying industrial town of Rockford, IL. He was a weirdo from day one. While other children were of playing games in the schoolyard, he was content to wander around by himself, making up odd stories to amuse himself. It was not until eighth grade that he found a use for this little hobby. He was reading "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" for a class assignment, and discovered that the main character had the same hobby that he did. Â
"You'll be a writer some day," an adult told her.
That odd boy was me, and those words have been etched in my heart ever since. I've gone through a lot since then: going to college, experiencing a reawakening and re-embracing of the Catholic Faith in which I was raised, exploring the possibility of becoming a priest, got married, moved to Georgia, and witnessed the birth of my beautiful daughter.Â
But through all that, my desire to be a writer, to tell stories that touch hearts and stimulate minds, has never dimmed or faltered.   And after years of effort and "not yets," it is finally being realized.
